
Visitors to Cypress Grove Behavioral Health System where patients are being treated must adhere to confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Law prior to attending visitation with their child. All visitors must follow our protocol to protect the rights of our patients, staff, and healthcare information, reflecting respect for all involved.
Under Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), “individually identifiable health information” may be disclosed ONLY to anyone other than the patient with written permission of the patient or legal patient representative. All discussions about patient medical conditions must be kept in a private setting. All medical records are to be accessed ONLY on an as needed basis.
In addition, please be aware that Cypress Grove Behavioral Health uses live video surveillance as an added step of protection for our patients. During your visit at our facility, you will be monitored via a live surveillance camera that records video only; no audio surveillance is conducted to allow for privacy between you and your child during visiting hours.
